I hope your Inception experience was exceptional. Mine, more so.
But probably for different reasons than yours.

No matter where I am or who I’m with, whether it be home, away from home, at school, ditching school, in the shittiest of moods or the greatest, alone and fabulous, in fabulous company, in California, in Holland or even Paris… I never turn down an opportunity to lock myself in a cinéma. Movies happen to be my ultimate preferred past time, and when it comes to me and my fancies, location is hardly a concern.

And that is what I used to think.

However, after catching Inception at UGC Normandie at Champs Elysées, I realized my theater experience would never be the same again — actually, life will never be the same again after Paris. Not that they sold beer at the concession nor did they include intermission like they did in the Netherlands, this “theater” (more like a palace) was just somethin’ else. I was unconsciously in and out of the movie, busy admiring the ceiling, the size, the depth, the seats, the very funky smell of the man sitting next to me, the fact that I was watching a Nolan film at one of the most amazing cinemas I’ve ever been to, in one of the most amazing cities in the whole world (or so it felt like) … nevermind, I can’t finish this idea, it’s too overwhelming.

Inception.

Now take what this guy said then take out the exaggeration, and that’s how I personally felt about the movie, or at least the parts that I was able to watch despite the distracting grandeur of the theater.

ps. I now have the fattest crush on Tom Hardy. My God, go hard or go home. (And no, that is NOT Tom Hardy in the video above.)
